SB050- Sonic Boom Foppet – one of a kind!

Foppet needs a bit of background.  Foppet is a stylized horse sculpture, about 2 1/4″ tall and 2 1/2″ long, hand cast in resin and hand painted by Nora Echeverria Wright.  She is the equine companion to Poppet, Lisa Snellings’ iconic little sculpture. Poppets and Foppets love to “play dress up”, becoming one-of-a-kind (OOAK) sculpture pairs, as in this example.  But sometimes a Foppet will be released into the world without her Poppet companion.

Sonic Boom Foppet is only the third such OOAK Foppet, making her special indeed.  The inspiration for Sonic Boom came when I was talking to my good friend podcaster Paul Fischer about creating a piece of art for the Boom Effect auctions.  Paul said to me that a Sonic Boom Foppet would have to be loud, and I replied, it just has to be painted loudly, and at that moment, the fireball design solidified in my mind and i knew what to do.

Sonic Boom Foppet is eager to go to her new home.  A word of warning: Foppets love Poppets.  If you don’t already have a Poppet about, you just might find yourself acquiring a friend or two (or three) for your new Foppet!

This set will be auctioned in the Craft items timeslot on February 27th and includes postage to Canada and the United States. International postage will be covered up to $10, and then be extra to the bidder.
